Apply clinical nutrition expertise in person as a Registered Dietitian supporting Medical Bariatrics referrals, assessment, counselling, and care planning.
This temporary, full-time nine-month position serves Medical Bariatrics Clinical Nutrition from Monday to Friday during daytime hours. You will complete physician, nursing, and multidisciplinary Nutrition Referrals while addressing nutrition-related complications. Responsibilities include nutrition assessment, care-plan coordination, patient education, professional development, research, and administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete Nutrition Referrals ordered by physicians and care teams
- Screen nutritional risk and classify malnutrition risk
- Assess biochemical, dietary, medical, and psychosocial information
- Recommend, coordinate, and monitor nutrition care plans
- Provide culturally appropriate patient and caregiver education
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and one to three years' experience
- Accredited postgraduate Dietetic Internship, Master's Degree, or equivalent
- Successful completion of Canadian Dietetic Registration Examination
- Mandatory membership in College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Knowledge and sensitivity caring for seniors and families
