Location: South Shore of Montreal | Manufacturing Industry | Permanent Position Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking a Director – Engineering and Maintenance to play a key role in optimizing operations and supporting the development of its manufacturing infrastructure.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing engineering and maintenance strategies to ensure the reliability, performance, and long-term sustainability of manufacturing equipment and facilities.
As a results-driven and engaging leader, this individual will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement, equipment modernization, downtime reduction, and capital investment optimization.
Key
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engineering and maintenance strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Ensure the reliability, availability, and optimal performance of manufacturing equipment.
Lead, coach, and develop engineering, maintenance, and technical support teams.
Plan and oversee major capital investment, equipment modernization, and facility improvement projects.
Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Manage maintenance budgets, control operating costs, and maximize asset performance.
Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and technical partners.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, environmental requirements, and applicable regulations.
