Become a valued Scoop Operator at SSR Mining's Seabee Gold Operation in Saskatchewan. This role involves operating trucks and scoops while ensuring safe and efficient transport of ore and waste.
As a Scoop Operator, you will report to the Supervisor of Mine Operations. This position requires at least two years of experience in hard rock underground mining. Your main responsibilities will include truck operation, knowledge of scaling procedures, and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate 30- & 40-ton trucks safely
- Manage 2, 4, 6, & 8-yard scoop operations
- Implement knowledge of scaling procedures
- Follow underground emergency protocols
- Complete additional tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum two years of mining experience
- Preference for candidates with truck haulage experience
- Experience with manual and remote scoop trams preferred
- Prior mine rescue training is beneficial
- Strong communication and safety-focused attitude
