Build resilient accounts platforms remotely in Canada with Penn Interactive, using REST APIs, gRPC services, and SQL for critical player systems. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Accounts team, you will design, scale, and performance-tune systems supporting registration, authentication, identity verification, compliance, and notifications. You will solve complex technical problems, deliver features end-to-end, and improve production reliability. Key Responsibilities:
Design and tune REST APIs, gRPC services, and SQL queries Deliver features across registration, identity, compliance, and notifications Identify production bottlenecks and drive scalable platform improvements Configure Datadog monitoring and alerting for owned systems Mentor engineers through specifications, pairing, and code reviews Requirements:
Minimum five years of software engineering experience Strong computer science, distributed systems, and software design foundations Experience with production performance regressions, load testing, and tracing Experience with web frameworks, APIs, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Kubernetes Understanding of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, MFA, and secure PII handling Apply senior engineering expertise across APIs, authentication, performance, and compliance for Penn Interactive’s business-critical accounts platform.
