Lead Betstamp’s Go-based real-time data platform in Toronto, combining hands-on engineering with architecture, mentoring, and production reliability. As Staff Engineer and Tech Lead, you will own systems delivering line movement, edge, and expected value at sub-second refresh. You will guide a Go monorepo with over 100 source integrations, alongside Redis Streams, ClickHouse, APIs, and the web app. The role divides time between technical leadership and building. AI tools are central to the team’s engineering approach and product development process. Key Responsibilities:
Set architecture direction across the monorepo and supporting services Ship complex migrations, production fixes, and irreversible changes Review code, mentor engineers, and raise technical standards Own uptime, alerting, incident response, and operational practices Plan work, timelines, and stakeholder tradeoffs Requirements:
Senior engineering experience with strong architectural judgment Hands-on Go development in production systems Experience with Redis Streams and ClickHouse Ability to use AI tools responsibly for engineering Ability to learn and deliver across the stack Shape Betstamp’s real-time trading infrastructure through Go development, architecture, AI-enabled engineering, and dependable operations.
