Evaluate commercial property risks remotely for Sovereign Insurance using equipment breakdown expertise, French proficiency, and strong English communication. As a Risk Specialist within Sovereign Insurance’s Risk Engineering team, you will assess facilities and operations, identify exposures, and support underwriting partners. The regular full-time, remote-based position focuses on equipment breakdown insurance, pressure equipment inspections, and practical loss prevention. Your work will serve primarily francophone and anglophone clients, groups, and teams across the business. You will also contribute technical knowledge through coaching and resource development. Key Responsibilities:
Complete comprehensive facility and operations risk assessments Identify equipment breakdown exposures and prepare loss estimates Conduct pressure equipment inspections under Quebec Regulations Provide actionable risk improvement recommendations Coach team members and develop technical resources Requirements:
At least five years’ relevant technical or insurance experience Engineering, Applied Science, or Technology degree or diploma NBBI Commission or IISP pressure installation inspection certificate Knowledge of boilers, pressure vessels, regulations, and loss prevention French proficiency and good knowledge of English Apply equipment breakdown, boiler inspection, and bilingual risk engineering expertise to protect commercial clients through Sovereign Insurance.
