Apply clinical nutrition expertise as a Registered Dietitian at Southlake Health in Newmarket, Ontario, supporting patient-focused hospital care.
This permanent, casual position provides nutrition assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and monitoring within the Health Care Team. You will manage oral diets, enteral and parenteral nutrition, medications, labs, and IVs through medical directives and delegated acts. The work includes collaborative inpatient practice and patient and family focused care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient and family focused nutrition care
- Complete nutrition assessments, diagnoses, interventions, and monitoring
- Manage oral diets through delegated acts
- Manage enteral and parenteral nutrition support
- Manage medications, labs, and IVs
Requirements:
- Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Minimum two years clinical nutrition experience in acute care hospital
- Experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition
- Proficiency in MS Office and hospital information systems or EMR
- Critical thinking and collaborative communication skills
