As a Resident Assistant, you will work under Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Psychiatric Nurse team leaders. You will assist residents with activities of daily living and other needs while promoting dignity and quality of life. The position requires communication, organization, and respect for cultural diversity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living
- Support nutrition and stimulating resident activities
- Provide laundry and housekeeping for resident environments
- Determine work priorities and methods independently
- Protect resident dignity, health, and quality of life
Requirements:
- Grade 12 education and Health Care Aide Certificate
- One to two years healthcare experience preferred
- Compassionate, empathetic, and nurturing personality
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Certified Food Handler Certificate or willingness to obtain
