Southern Health‐Santé Sud seeks a Home Care Attendant for its Home Care Program. Following established care plans, you will assist frail, physically disabled, and mentally challenged clients of all ages. The work requires personal care, home support, critical thinking, confidentiality, and culturally respectful service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care services to assigned home care clients
- Deliver home support services according to established care plans
- Assist clients in remaining safely in their own homes
- Determine work priorities and methods using independent judgment
- Address unusual matters with appropriate initiative and judgment
Requirements:
- Grade 12 education required
- Recognized Home Care Attendant or Health Care Aide certificate
- English and French proficiency essential
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Previous community experience with elderly or disabled people preferred
