Reporting to the Food Service Manager, the Dietary Aide supports meal service at Southbridge Care Homes. The work includes food preparation, resident diet orders, kitchen cleaning, and dining room maintenance. It contributes to services within a long-term care home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle, store, and label food safely
- Assist cooks with basic food preparation
- Follow food service guidelines and protocols
- Serve meals according to resident diet orders
- Clean and maintain kitchen and dining room
Requirements:
- Enroll in or complete a college Food Service Worker Program
- Meet Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act requirements
- Hold a current Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication
- Provide vulnerable sector check and required TB documentation
