Support resident meals at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home LTC as a part time Dietary Aide in Plantagenet, Ontario, across mixed shifts.
Reporting to the Food Service Manager, this Dietary Aide supports meal setup, preparation, serving, and cleaning. The position requires safe food handling, basic preparation assistance, and service according to Resident diet orders. It also supports kitchen and dining room maintenance within long term care guidelines and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle food safely through proper storage and labeling
- Assist cooks with basic food preparation tasks
- Execute food service according to guidelines and protocols
- Serve meals according to Resident diet orders
- Wash, clean, and maintain kitchen and dining areas
Requirements:
- Enroll in or complete a College Level Food Service Worker Program
- Meet Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act requirements
- Hold a current Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Complete required vulnerable sector and two-step TB checks
