The Educational Associate works under teacher direction to prepare life skills and academic programming. Duties include supporting personal hygiene and medical needs, supervising students, and helping transitions toward working with peers and adults. The assignment is temporary through December 22, 2026, with possible extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise intensive-needs students and small student groups
- Prepare student-based life skills and academic programming
- Support student transitions with peers and adults
- Follow individualized behaviour and safety plans
- Transport students when required
Requirements:
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma recognized by the Board
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 60 pounds independently
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
- Collaborative teamwork and school software knowledge
