Design medical and ultrasound manufacturing solutions at Sonele in Markham, using SolidWorks, 3D assemblies, and engineering documentation. This full-time role supports engineering activities. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer supports the Engineering Manager and engineering team across product development, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and documentation. You will create mechanical designs, assess manufacturability, and collaborate with service, production, manufacturing teams, and suppliers. The work includes electro-mechanical systems and customer deliverables. Key Responsibilities:
Design 3D mechanical assemblies and fixtures using SolidWorks Generate 2D drawings and engineering documentation Participate in product development and manufacturing activities Review manufacturability, costing, and electro-mechanical lead times Develop assembly procedures and manufacturing documentation Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or Mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma Five or more years of applicable work experience Strong 3D CAD experience, preferably SolidWorks Knowledge of drawings, schematics, bills of materials, and GD&T Knowledge of CNC machining, sheet metal, and injection molding Bring senior mechanical design expertise, SolidWorks proficiency, and manufacturing knowledge to Sonele’s Markham engineering team.
