As a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician, you will maintain trucks, trailers, forklifts, and industrial equipment. Your work supports reliable fleet operations across Volvo, Freightliner, and International units. The position includes servicing engines, transmissions, brakes, drivetrains, and exhaust systems, while documenting maintenance and repair activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair heavy-duty trucks, trailers, forklifts, and industrial equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Service engines, transmissions, brakes, drivetrains, and exhaust systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repairs
Requirements:
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Basic welding and tire maintenance experience
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Steel-toed boots and a full set of tools
