This position suits skilled Heavy Duty Mechanics with experience maintaining heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and company vehicles. You will support Quarry Hills' gravel, sewer, waterworks, and earthworks operations through maintenance, repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting. Automotive, truck and transport, and agricultural backgrounds are welcome.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment and company vehicles
- Diagnose diesel, hydraulic, braking, electrical, and gas engine issues
- Repair or replace worn equipment and vehicle parts
- Prepare equipment and vehicles before job site deployment
- Maintain accurate records and report major repair needs
Requirements:
- Journeyman Red Seal or equivalent heavy duty qualification
- Minimum two years maintaining heavy equipment or transport fleets
- Strong diesel engine, hydraulic, and diagnostic knowledge
- Valid Class 5 licence; Class 3 considered an asset
- Ability to meet shop lifting and carrying demands
