As a Building Service Worker I in the Physical Plant, you will support campus cleanliness and upkeep. Responsibilities include institutional cleaning, grounds maintenance, snow removal, and moving furniture. The role reports to the Director of Physical Plant and includes regular duties across university facilities and residences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean, buff, wax, and auto scrub floors
- Provide carpet care and clean washrooms, walls, and windows
- Remove snow and ice across university grounds
- Dispose of garbage and recycling appropriately
- Maintain residences, grounds, and overall campus cleanliness
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or GED preferred
- Two years institutional cleaning and groundskeeping experience preferred
- Valid Class 5 driver's license required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and repetitive physical tasks
- Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and varying shifts
