Use Excel, Power BI, CFIN, and Longview to strengthen financial reporting and analytics for Sobeys' Finance organization. As a contract Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting, you will build and maintain reporting outputs that clarify operational and financial performance. Your work spans validation, reconciliation, discrepancy resolution, dashboards, templates, and process improvements. You will partner with Finance Business Partners, Operations leaders, Directors, VPs, and reporting teams to answer business questions and communicate meaningful findings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate data between source systems, CFIN, Longview, and outputs
- Investigate missing stores, hierarchy issues, GL variances, and exceptions
- Develop reporting tools, templates, and dashboards for teams
- Manage enhancements and identify manual-task automation opportunities
- Communicate reporting findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Requirements:
- Relevant university degree focused on Accounting, Finance, or Business
- Experience with Excel, Microsoft Copilot, CFIN, Longview, or Power BI
- Strong technical and analytical capabilities
- Proven problem-solving, prioritization, and multitasking skills
- Continuous improvement mindset focused on accuracy and efficiency
- Bring data quality, dashboard development, and stakeholder communication skills to Sobeys' financial reporting and analytics environment.
