As a Grain Originator, you will help local farmers navigate marketing decisions and identify operational opportunities. The position involves grower communication, grain purchase contracts, market monitoring, and CRM documentation. You will collaborate with Operations, accounting, merchandising, and management teams while developing expertise through training and shadowing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build grower relationships through farm visits and proactive communication
- Support regional origination plans and identify new opportunities
- Execute cash, basis, FTA, specialty, and IP soybean contracts
- Share grain market insights with growers and internal teams
- Maintain CRM notes, contracts, settlements, cheques, and reports
Requirements:
- Agriculture, Marketing, or equivalent diploma or degree
- One to three-plus years of related experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving interest
- Willingness to travel regionally and support harvest demands
