This Electrical Designer position supports building systems projects at Smith + Andersen's Calgary office. You will prepare coordinated electrical layouts, drawings, specifications, and reports while working with architectural, structural, and mechanical disciplines. The position includes Revit design, project communication, supplier coordination, and construction administration support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare project drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Design electrical building systems using Revit and CAD
- Develop lighting, power distribution, and room layouts
- Perform electrical load calculations for base building projects
- Review shop drawings, site conditions, and change notices
Requirements:
- Two to five years of electrical building services experience
- Diploma or degree in electrical engineering or building services
- Autodesk Revit 2017 or newer experience required
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and Dynamo
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
