At Smash + Tess, this Assistant Product Developer supports new and existing styles from concept through production and commercialization. You will work with the design team on seasonal development, maintaining design intent, construction, quality, and fit. The position requires understanding product lifecycle processes, raw materials, technical construction, and sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Designer during garment fit sessions
- Develop initial spec packages and detailed sketches
- Use Adobe Illustrator to show construction changes
- Issue technical packs with production specifications
- Problem solve fit and fabric issues
Requirements:
- Two or more years garment product development experience
- Related degree or equivalent industry training
- Strong understanding of design intent and garment fit
- Proficiency in Adobe programs and Microsoft Office
- Reliable transportation and availability for office work
