SmartStop is seeking a skilled Construction Manager, reporting to the EVP of Canada. With a focus on project lifecycle management, you will negotiate contracts, monitor costs, and ensure projects adhere to schedules. The ideal candidate has robust experience in multi-site locations, especially in self-storage, and excels in communication and organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and issue contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders
- Monitor project costs and adjust contracts as necessary
- Develop strategies for schedule or budget recovery
- Prepare contractor progress draws and invoices promptly
- Maintain relationships with vendors and resolve project disputes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management
- Five years of direct construction management experience
- Multi-site project experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and passport necessary
