Apply geochemistry expertise to integrated Mine Water Management with SLR Consulting across Canada, supporting ARD and ML projects from western Canada.
As a Geochemist, you will work with hydrogeologists, geochemists, and water resource engineers. Your work includes geochemical interpretation, mine waste assessment, water modeling, and technical reporting. Projects may support mining companies and government agencies in Canada, Australia, and Chile.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review geochemical and mineralogical data, including static ABA testing
- Acquire geochemical data with geochemists and scientists
- Develop water and contaminant load balance model inputs
- Prepare technical reports describing methods, results, and effects
- Support QA/QC, visualization, and project planning activities
Requirements:
- At least five years of geochemist experience
- Relevant mining consulting and mine waste geochemistry experience
- Professional registration or eligibility as P.Geo. or P.Eng.
- Relevant geology, geochemistry, engineering, or biology education
- Valid driver's license and short-term travel willingness
