Lead water resources consulting with SLR Consulting as a Senior Hydrologist, applying hydrologic modelling and monitoring expertise across Western Canada. Calgary, Edmonton, Victoria, Nanaimo, or Vancouver locations are available.
This senior position provides technical leadership across mining, energy, infrastructure, and resource development projects. You will guide hydrologic investigations, water balance assessments, and environmental flow work while supporting client relationships and project delivery. The role also contributes to SLR's growing Hydrogeology and Hydrology Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead hydrological assessments and investigations across diverse projects
- Design hydrometric monitoring programs and manage field data systems
- Lead hydrologic modelling and water balance studies
- Review technical reports, modelling studies, and regulatory submissions
- Coordinate scopes, budgets, schedules, clients, and proposals
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of progressive hydrology or water resources experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related discipline
- P. Geo registration or immediate registration eligibility
- Experience with hydrologic investigations, monitoring, and modelling
- Willingness to travel for field programs and client meetings
