Lead nuclear commissioning strategy, execution, and handover for Monark-D through integrated planning, testing, and regulatory coordination. This senior role connects construction with operations safely. AtkinsRéalis seeks a Commissioning Director responsible for commissioning from detailed design through final handover. You will coordinate Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, suppliers, operations, and the CNSC. The work includes schedules, procedures, test programs, readiness criteria, configuration control, and closeout documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish commissioning strategy, governance, organization, and readiness frameworks
- Control schedules, boundaries, testing sequences, milestones, and interfaces
- Lead procedures, work packages, test plans, and acceptance criteria
- Manage execution, permits, isolations, deficiencies, retesting, and reporting
- Coordinate regulatory evidence, system turnover, and final handover
Requirements:
- Technical degree or diploma, or equivalent senior experience
- Typically 15+ years in nuclear or regulated industries
- Experience leading commissioning, startup, testing, and system turnover
- Knowledge of CNSC expectations, licensing, quality assurance, and configuration management
- Strong multidisciplinary leadership and senior reporting capability
