As a Junior Civil Designer, you will support CANDU Energy Inc./AtkinsRéalis Nuclear Inc. engineering roles. Projects include Ontario new builds, international new builds, refurbishment, and plant operation support modifications. The work spans preliminary engineering through detailed design, implementation, and close-out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare electronic documents using AutoCAD and MicroStation
- Develop sketches and three-dimensional computer models
- Prepare engineering deliverables for nuclear and conventional systems
- Apply codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with engineering teams throughout project lifecycles
Requirements:
- College diploma or equivalent work experience
- Minimum two years in mechanical design and drafting
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks
- Basic academic knowledge of two-dimensional and three-dimensional CAD
- Ability to revise drawings and models from marked-up instructions
