Our client, a growing manufacturing organization in the Vaughan area, is seeking a Buyer to take ownership of procurement and support business growth and operational success. The role involves managing supplier relationships, ensuring material availability, driving cost savings, and contributing to supply chain decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead purchasing and sourcing activities for manufacturing operations.
- Develop procurement strategies to improve cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers for raw materials, components, and production-related services.
- Manage RFQs and tenders, evaluate vendor proposals, and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Build supplier relationships and monitor quality, pricing, and delivery.
- Partner with executive leadership and collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Finance, and Logistics.
- Monitor inventory and supplier performance to identify and mitigate supply risks.
- Analyze purchasing data, spending trends, and supplier metrics.
- Identify cost savings, process improvements, and supplier rationalization opportunities.
- Support supplier qualification, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
