Head of Procurement and Strategic Sourcing for a full-time, permanent hybrid role.
The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will build the procurement function from the ground up.
Occasional in-office work is expected in Toronto or Vancouver; exceptional candidates elsewhere may also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Develop procurement strategy, policies, processes, and purchasing guidelines.
- Consolidate and analyze company-wide spend, identify savings opportunities, and prioritize sourcing activity.
- Lead competitive sourcing processes, including RFPs, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contract execution.
- Establish procurement governance and improve supplier and contract management.
- Partner with the COO, Finance, technology leaders, and operational teams; track outcomes and validate savings with Finance.
- Support procurement integration as the company grows through acquisitions.
Qualifications
- Experience developing procurement strategies, analyzing spend, identifying savings, and leading sourcing initiatives end to end.
- Supplier negotiation, proposal evaluation, and contract management skills.
- Ability to work with executive leaders and operational stakeholders and build practical processes.
- Experience in technology, facilities, medical supplies, or professional services is valuable; healthcare experience is an asset.
Compensation
Salary range
$150,000–$160,000 per year , plus short- and long-term incentives, with the opportunity to earn up to 40% in combined bonuses.
