Prep Academy Tutors is seeking an educator to provide primarily in-home, in-person instruction to students in Grades 1–6 in South Mississauga. Online support may be needed as well.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized instruction aligned with the Ontario elementary curriculum, including Math, English and Language, Science, and Social Studies.
- Strengthen foundational reading, writing, and numeracy skills through direct, structured instruction.
- Support assignments, assessments, projects, and exam preparation as appropriate.
- Develop customized lesson plans for remedial support and enrichment.
- Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and learning goals.
Qualifications
- Current Ontario College of Teachers registration, Canadian or U.S. teacher certification (or progress toward certification), current Bachelor of Education enrolment, or experience as a college or university lecturer or course instructor.
- Experience teaching or tutoring elementary students and knowledge of the Ontario curriculum for Grades 1–6.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to students' homes in South Mississauga.
