About the role Stantec is seeking a Project Engineer to join its Canadian Mining, Minerals and Metals team.
The role is listed for Calgary, Alberta, and Vancouver, British Columbia.
Responsibilities
Manage and direct engineering and design teams through studies, detailed engineering, construction and commissioning support.
Coordinate technical execution with project management and serve as a client contact for project engineering issues.
Monitor engineering budgets, progress and schedules, and manage engineering-related change processes.
Coordinate engineering inputs to procurement and construction, including scopes, bid evaluations, vendor data reviews and responses to RFIs.
Review design deliverables for safety, constructability, quality and multidisciplinary coordination.
Qualifications
Degree or diploma in a mining-related technical field.
At least five years of engineering, design and construction experience in heavy industry, particularly surface or underground mining.
Previous Project Engineer experience on studies, detailed engineering or construction projects.
A valid driver’s licence is required; willingness to travel to client sites or other Stantec offices is an asset.
