Loblaw is hiring a Senior Manager – AI & Data Science for its Healthcare Data Product team in Brampton, Ontario.
The role leads analytics and AI initiatives using healthcare data to improve patient experiences, healthcare outcomes, operational efficiency, and business performance.
What you'll do
- Lead the development and delivery of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI solutions.
- Work with product, technology, and business teams to turn healthcare challenges into scalable data science solutions.
- Direct end-to-end initiatives, from problem definition and experimental design through deployment and ongoing monitoring.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data scientists, establishing practices for study design, model development, deployment, and monitoring.
- Present insights, recommendations, and business impact to senior stakeholders.
What you bring
- At least 4–5 years of progressive experience in data science, AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics; experience in healthcare or another regulated industry is preferred.
- Strong Python skills and hands‑on machine learning and AI development experience. Generative AI, LLM, RAG, NLP, or AI agent experience is valued.
- Experience with healthcare data and understanding of data quality, privacy, governance, and responsible AI.
- Ability to lead complex initiatives, mentor data scientists, and collaborate across technical, clinical, product, and business teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Compensation
Hiring range: $100,000–$132,000 per year. Compensation may depend on experience, knowledge, and geographic region.
