GFL Environmental is hiring a 310T Mechanic in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.
The mechanic will diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment, and help ensure vehicles are safe and road-ready.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment.
- Complete repair paperwork, document parts usage, and record repair times.
- Conduct safety inspections and report equipment deterioration.
- Inspect, remove, and replace tires; fuel and wash company vehicles.
- Use tools and equipment safely and keep the shop and work area in safe condition.
- Maintain inventory and reporting in the M5 program.
Requirements
- Valid Ontario 310T Truck and Coach Technician Certificate.
- Three to five years of work experience.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Basic hand tools and willingness to obtain additional tools as needed.
- Working conditions
Work takes place indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, around vehicles, machinery, exhaust fumes, fuels, and other potentially hazardous substances.
The role involves physical work, including lifting up to 50 pounds as needed, and use of personal protective equipment.
