We are recruiting a Journeyperson Electrician that holds a Master Electrician (ME) licence in the Province of Ontario to join our team. As a Master Electrician, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across various construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Pull electrical permits through the Electrical Safety Authority in Ontario for work being performed by Site RG.
- Ensure electrical installations comply with the Electrical Safety Code while performing electrical installations.
- Oversee work conducted by Site RG electrical division to ensure that it complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical faults or malfunctions in machinery, equipment, and wiring systems.
- Perform routine inspections and testing of electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly and meet safety standards.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to coordinate electrical installations, upgrades, and repairs.
- Follow and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members and compliance with electrical safety standards.
- Coordinate and/or carry out preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of electrical systems and equipment.
- Mentor and/or use appropriate tools, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper maintenance and care of all tools and resources.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience working as an electrician, with hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Must hold a valid Master Electrician (ME) Licence.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- In-depth understanding of electrical safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to identify electrical hazards and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members, supervisors, and other trades on-site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test including cannabis.
