Teach seventh grade science in southeast Arizona with Sierra Vista Unified School District, using curriculum planning, assessment, and student-centered instruction.
This classroom teacher serves the 2027-2028 school year within the District's PreK-12 team. The work includes guiding learning, establishing objectives, assessing progress, and planning studies around student needs. Teachers also use research-based strategies, relevant resources, and data to support individual learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan science lessons, units, projects, and programs of study
- Communicate learning objectives and guide student achievement
- Assess, evaluate, and report student progress
- Maintain accurate academic and attendance records
- Collaborate with students, parents, colleagues, and specialists
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university
- Appropriate Arizona teaching certificate, endorsements, and vocational certification
- Knowledge or experience implementing District PBIS strategies
- Willingness to receive PBIS training when needed
- Compliance with laws, procedures, policies, and reporting requirements
