Responsibilities include assessments, goals, interventions, documentation, and collaboration with therapy programs. Programs may include small groups, large groups, and special events meeting resident needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, plan, facilitate, document, and evaluate resident programs
- Assist residents during group activities and special events
- Complete assessments, goals, interventions, and care plans
- Collaborate with pet, music, and art therapy programs
- Purchase supplies, decorate spaces, set up, and clean up
Requirements:
- Post-secondary recreation, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, or related education
- Equivalent experience working with seniors may be considered
- Current Standard or Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification
- Valid Food Handlers Certificate
- Program planning, documentation, and evaluation experience required
