Provide skilled nursing care at Langstaff Square Community in Richmond Hill, using assessment, medication administration, and resident-focused planning. This permanent part-time day schedule runs from 7am to 3pm.
Reporting to the Director of Care, the Registered Nurse supports residents through assessment, care planning, procedures, medication administration, and documentation. The position emphasizes comfort, dignity, respect, and collaboration with residents or substitute decision makers. Nursing practice must follow policies, legislation, provincial scope requirements, and Sienna Senior Living standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess resident needs and develop individualized plans of care
- Deliver skilled nursing and personal care procedures
- Administer medications and complete required documentation
- Collaborate with residents and substitute decision makers
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences
Requirements:
- BScN, BN, or equivalent nursing education
- Current Registered Nurse registration with the applicable provincial college
- Knowledge of geriatric nursing processes and current care trends
- Effective English communication, computer, administrative, and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize work around resident needs
