As a Laundry Aide, you will provide clothing and linen support within the community. Your work includes sorting, washing, drying, ironing, mending, folding, inventory auditing, and cart distribution. You will also maintain laundry areas, follow cleaning routines, and report equipment malfunctions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, process, distribute, and inventory linens and personal clothing
- Sort, wash, dry, iron, mend, and fold laundry
- Audit labels, repairs, and inappropriate inventory records
- Maintain sanitation, equipment, supplies, and laundry work areas
- Apply infection control protocols and report machine malfunctions
Requirements:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent education
- Knowledge of infection control and cleaning practices
- Knowledge of housekeeping operations and equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members
- Successful Vulnerable Sector Check for Ontario applicants
