As a Maintenance and Overhaul Repair Engineer, you will be working in the Service Engineering organization based at our office in Montreal.

Reporting to the Head of MRO Engineering, you will be responsible for developing repair technologies, assessing non-conforming components, establishing criteria, and proposing innovative solutions to maximize components' life. Your contribution will add value for Siemens Energy and reduce the cost of ownership for the customer.

How You’ll Make An Impact:

  • Assess, investigate and devise engineering technical responses to non-conformance components from Technical Liaison requests.
  • Interact with a broad range of suppliers, senior management, Research & Development engineering, and customers, both locally and internationally.
  • Work closely with the MRO Center and particularly in Material Review Board for assessing components and improving technical documentation.
  • Analyze technical data to identify, develop and apply optimum repair or acceptability solutions.
  • Define, review and release inspection criteria and acceptance limits for the repair and overhaul Engine Manuals (at component, sub-assembly or whole engine level).
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements in the work environment and in technical solutions delivered to the customer.
  • Take ownership and lead the solution delivery to its final stage.
  • When required, identify, involve and coordinate additional technical specialists to deliver a technically approved solution (e.g. Stress, Design, Aerothermal, Performance, etc.).
  • Develop cost-saving measures through the delivered technical solutions.

What You Bring:

  • Engineering degree and OIQ membership.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Knowledge of gas turbines and/or industrial equipment, project management, and repair/manufacturing techniques.
  • Good understanding of component definition drawings and relation to the design intent in the Engine assembly.
  • Ability to read, speak, write, understand and verbally express ideas and instructions in French. This position is in a French-speaking environment but requires fluency in English to comprehend documentation and technical terms from international sources, and to communicate with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with peers, subordinates, supervisors, and management personnel.
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment. Proven record of delivering technical solutions and improvements is an asset.
  • High degree of autonomy and ability to self-manage priorities within the team’s objectives to achieve customer expectations.
  • Flexibility on working hours as support can be required for second shift operations.
