As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will assist with prescription dispensing functions and pharmacy operations. The work includes prescription data entry, refill processing, medication counting, packaging, labeling, and maintaining pharmacy systems. You will also support customer service, administration, and pharmacist referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter new prescriptions and process refill requests
- Select medications according to Pharmacy Standards of Practice
- Count, measure, package, and label prescriptions accurately
- Maintain appropriate data within applicable Pharmacy systems
- Assist with prescription preparation and professional services
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Assistant credited course diploma preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective organizational and multitasking skills
