In this Pharmacy Assistant position, you will assist with prescription preparation and the delivery of pharmacy services. Responsibilities include receiving orders, selecting medications, processing refills, and maintaining appropriate pharmacy-system data. You will also support customer transactions, documentation, telephone inquiries, faxes, and pharmacist coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive new and repeat prescription orders
- Select medications according to Pharmacy Standards of Practice
- Process refill requests and enter prescription data
- File completed documentation accurately
- Manage incoming faxes and coordinate pharmacist call backs
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Assistant credited course diploma preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and organize work effectively
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
