Support accurate prescription dispensing as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician with strong attention to detail and customer service in a Shoppers Drug Mart store.
This position assists with technical dispensing functions and pharmacy services. You will support prescription preparation, customer assistance, third party adjudication, and pharmacy operations. The role requires adherence to Pharmacy Standards of Practice, confidentiality requirements, and established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather prescription information according to established standards
- Accurately dispense, package, label, and cash out prescriptions
- Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists
- Process third party billing and prescription refill requests
- Maintain dispensary registers, records, faxes, and documentation
Requirements:
- Registration with the corresponding provincial licensing college
- Diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Effective organizational skills and multitasking ability
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
