This Pharmacy Assistant supports technical prescription functions, pharmacy services, and daily Pharmacy operations. You will gather prescription information, process data, prepare and label prescriptions, and maintain accurate records. The position also includes customer service, billing administration, telephone support, and pharmacist referrals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and gather prescription information according to Standards
- Process prescription data, refills, packaging, and labels
- Select medications according to Pharmacy Standards of Practice
- Manage billing, faxes, documentation, and telephone inquiries
- Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Assistant credited course diploma preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Effective organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
