This position supports technical dispensing functions and pharmacy services in a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store. You will maintain pharmacy operations according to Pharmacy Standards of Practice while keeping customers central. The work includes prescription data entry, refill processing, medication selection, billing, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather prescription information and greet customers promptly
- Accurately dispense, count, measure, package, and label medications
- Process new prescriptions and refill requests
- Adjudicate third party billing and manage accounts
- Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists
Requirements:
- Registration with the corresponding provincial licensing college
- Diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
