This Pharmacy Technician position carries technical and clerical responsibilities within assigned hospital pharmacy areas. Duties include dispensing, medication order entry, cart refills, ward stock replenishment, inventory management, and sterile product preparation. The role also covers hazardous drug preparation, manufacturing, pre-packaging, quality improvement, and workload measurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform unit-dose or traditional medication dispensing
- Enter medication orders and refill medication carts
- Replenish ward stock and manage inventory
- Prepare sterile, non-hazardous, and hazardous drugs
- Support quality improvement and workload measurement
Requirements:
- Complete a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician diploma
- Hold or qualify for Ontario Pharmacy Technician registration
- Bring at least one year of related experience
- Demonstrate one year of sterile and hazardous preparation experience
- Communicate effectively and follow SHN safety expectations
