This General Surgeon position serves southwestern Manitoba through a 300-plus-bed, fully accredited, multi-specialty facility. Responsibilities include diagnosing disorders, supervising surgery, treating injuries, and consulting physicians. The role supports patient and family centered care within an interdisciplinary team and high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders
- Supervise surgical procedures
- Treat diseases, injuries, and deformities
- Prescribe postoperative medication and treatment
- Consult with other physicians
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine degree
- Royal College fellowship
- Manitoba full licensure or eligibility
- CMPA coverage or equivalent malpractice insurance
- Respect for culturally diverse populations
