This role involves reporting to the Safety Superintendent, where you'll take charge of implementing the SHEMS program within the underground operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures
- Conduct inspections ensuring compliance with H&S standards
- Oversee safety and health training at the site
- Coordinate WCB item compliance in accordance with laws
- Participate in the site emergency response program
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the mining sector
- Knowledge of H&S systems beneficial
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment
- Positive attitude towards safety is essential
