Lead environmental assessments and permitting for Stantec across Ontario, applying project management and regulatory compliance expertise. Work from London, Waterloo, Markham, Hamilton, or Ottawa. Stantec seeks a Senior Environmental Planner or Project Manager for its Assessment and Permitting team. You will manage environmental programs, Provincial and Federal Environmental Impact Assessments, and regulatory requirements. The work spans energy, power, infrastructure, mining, industrial, and community development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage environmental assessment and permitting tasks and deliverables
- Coordinate reports and proposals for specific project requirements
- Conduct desktop studies supporting regulatory requirements
- Communicate with clients, regulators, public members, and internal teams
- Develop consultation programs for diverse stakeholders
Requirements:
- Degree or post-undergraduate diploma in environmental planning or related field
- Minimum 15 years managing environmental programs and projects
- Experience with Class EA processes and environmental impact assessments
- Strong project management, communication, and technical writing skills
- Willingness to undertake periodic short-term regional travel
