Coordinate Senate broadcasting in Ottawa using audio-video operations, ParlVU web streaming, and quality assurance for parliamentary proceedings. The Broadcasting Coordinator manages daily Senate Recording Centre operations within Communications, Broadcasting and Publications. This full-time, six-month term position supports recording and distributing Senate Chamber and committee proceedings. It also requires scheduling events, monitoring feeds, video editing, and technical troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor ParlVU audio and video feeds
- Coordinate and schedule broadcasting events effectively
- Perform quality assurance checks on audio-video files
- Support video editing for communications projects
- Manage daily Senate Recording Centre operations
Requirements:
- Post-secondary broadcasting diploma, degree, or relevant experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience supporting live broadcasts with recording equipment
- Experience providing client service and writing correspondence
- Willingness to work late evenings and obtain security accreditation
