Support pipe fabrication and ship repair as an Engineering Technologist II at Victoria Shipyards, working fully on-site in Victoria. Apply CAD expertise and technical problem-solving across production activities.
The Specialist II provides engineering services for pipe fabrication, conversion, vessel support, and ship repair projects. You will liaise with Operations, Production, Supply Chain, Planning, and Engineering teams. Your work develops manufacturing documentation, resolves production issues, and supports compliance with customer, regulatory, and Classification Society requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support piping fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, and production activities
- Develop manufacturing packages, BOMs, cut lists, and bend tables
- Resolve technical issues with multidisciplinary shipyard departments
- Verify fabrication outputs against engineering requirements and documentation
- Maintain revisions, markups, technical records, and as-built documentation
Requirements:
- Engineering Technology diploma or relevant engineering bachelor's degree
- Five or more years in piping, shipbuilding, or heavy industry
- Experience supporting fabrication, manufacturing, or production operations
- Proficiency with CAD, technical drawings, and document control systems
- Strong mechanical, piping, analytical, and communication skills
