The following temporary position is open for applications: CUSTODIAN
Location: District - North Whistler Secondary School
Temporary: Immediately to November 20, 2026, or return of Incumbent, whichever occurs first
Hours: 8 hours per day, 12 months per year
Pay: $30.47 per hour
Duties & Responsibilities:
- General cleaning of schools as assigned by the General Manager of Operations
- Lifting of miscellaneous furniture
- Changing lights
- Operation of motorized cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of chemicals and application of floor coatings
- Attention to building security
Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 10 plus relevant courses/workshops
- Up to and including three (3) months related experience or an equivalent combination of related training and experience
- Relevant courses/workshops would be the Building Service Worker course
- Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) and Worksafe BC safety regulations
