Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture. We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst who is equally comfortable in a room with transfer agency operations leaders and in a working session with engineers and data architects. You will own the analysis that connects how our investment products are manufactured, sold, and serviced to the systems, integrations, and data that make it all run.

This is a hands-on, technically strong role. Beyond documenting requirements, you will query the data yourself, read and shape interface specifications, trace a transaction from order capture through to settlement and the unitholder register, and challenge solutions that will not hold up operationally. You will be a trusted partner to the business and a credible voice with technology.

In this role you will:

  • Product and fund lifecycle: new fund and series launches, fund mergers, terminations, series changes, and fund-code and reference-data set-up.
  • Fund operations dependencies: NAV calculation and pricing, dealing cut-offs, distributions, fund accounting, custody, and the flow of data between the manager, fund accountant, custodian, and transfer agent.
  • Distribution: direct, advisor, dealer, institutional, and intermediary channels, including nominee and omnibus arrangements and dealer-service models.
  • Product data: fund, series, fee, eligibility, and pricing data that feeds regulatory documents, dealer platforms, websites, and reporting.
  • Investor and account servicing: onboarding, account opening and maintenance, account hierarchies, authorized parties, investor records, and correspondence.
  • Transaction lifecycle: purchases, redemptions, switches, transfers, pre-authorized contributions, systematic withdrawals, distribution reinvestment, reversals, and fee-related transactions, from order capture and validation through pricing, settlement, and confirmation.
  • Unitholder register: holdings, transaction history, book value and cost information, statements, confirmations, and tax reporting.
  • Payments and settlement: dealer settlement, bank and payment interfaces, cash movements, and exception handling.
  • Dealer compensation: trailing commissions, service fees, rebates, and related data flows.
  • Reconciliation and controls: reconciliations across the transfer agent, fund accountant, custodian, bank, and dealers; exception queues; approvals; audit trails; and segregation of duties.
  • Regulatory and compliance processes: KYC, AML, sanctions screening, FATCA and CRS tax-residency reporting, privacy, and complaint handling.
  • Fundserv order, settlement, and account messaging: dealer/manufacturer interactions experience.
  • Registered plans: including RRSP, RRIF, TFSA, RESP, FHSA, and locked-in plans, and their contribution, withdrawal, and tax-reporting rules.
  • Canadian tax reporting: such as T3, T5008, NR4, and Québec RL slips.
  • Regulatory frameworks: relevant to fund manufacturers and dealers, including NI 81-102, NI 31-103, Client Focused Reforms, CIRO requirements, and FINTRAC obligations.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or similar role in asset management, fund administration, wealth management, or investment operations.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with transfer agency processes and at least one transfer agency or investor-recordkeeping platform.
  • Solid understanding of the asset management manufacturing lifecycle and the interaction between transfer agency, fund accounting, custody, and distribution.
  • Working experience with mutual funds, ETFs, pooled funds, segregated funds, or alternative investment products.
  • Hands-on experience with transfer agency platforms such as SS&C IFDS (iFAST), Univeris, SS&C TA2000, FIS, or comparable investor-recordkeeping systems.
  • Working knowledge of the Fundserv standards and messaging, gained at a dealer or fund manufacturer.
  • Experience leading or supporting a large-scale transfer agency conversion, platform migration, or fund-lineup rationalization.
  • Exposure to connected TA ecosystem applications such as AML and sanctions screening, bank and payment systems, print and document-generation vendors, CRM, dealer-compensation, and workflow/case-management tools.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (for example, Azure, Databricks, Google Cloud, BigQuery, or Snowflake) and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Python or scripting skills for data analysis and automation; familiarity with API tools such as Postman or Swagger/OpenAPI.
  • Familiarity with ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management.
  • Exposure to AI, automation, or LLM-enabled workflow tools applied to operations or analysis.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Miro, or equivalent tools.
  • CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile/Scrum, or Lean Six Sigma certification; Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Investment Funds in Canada (IFC).
